Case Study: EV Fire in Underground Garage – CZ

News

Coordinated response to a complex EV fire in a confined space.

In May 2023, a fire broke out in an electric vehicle parked on the second underground level of a garage in Prague. Heavy smoke, limited visibility and the confined environment made the operation particularly demanding.

As part of a coordinated response, Cobra was used to cool the traction battery and help bring the fire under control. The approach helped reduce risks and supported the safe removal of the damaged vehicle.

This case shows how Cobra can be an effective part of the response to EV fires in complex environments.
