Cobra is the key to safer firefighting

News

Firefighting is a dangerous job, especially inside a burning building: backdrafts, explosions and collapsing structures are all immediate risks.

Firefighters can also suffer long-term health issues from being exposed to carcinogenic substances and intense heat.

The Cobra Method lessens these risks because firefighters only enter the scene of a fire once heat and fire gases have been greatly reduced. We teach firefighters to combine the use of thermal imaging equipment, the Cobra extinguisher tool and positive pressure fans, decreasing short-term exposure to the immediate risks and long-term exposure to toxic, hostile environments. Cobra means safer firefighting.
