The ultra-high-pressure Cobra lance delivers a fine water mist that swiftly brings down extremely hot fire gases to much safer temperatures, cooling the fire compartment in moments. Using only 60 litres of water per minute (about 16 gallons), Cobra is highly efficient – a crucial advantage when water supplies are limited. This makes it possible to rapidly control or even extinguish fires with minimal water.
Cobra enables firefighters to cool hot fire gases safely from outside the fire compartment. The high-pressure water jet, combined with an abrasive, penetrates virtually any building material. Once the material is pierced, the mist cools the fire compartment effectively without adding extra oxygen, thanks to the small entry hole. The mist’s expansive surface area maximises cooling efficiency. With a nozzle velocity of 200 m/s (447 mph), the high-pressure jet stirs and cools fire gases, creating turbulence that enhances its impact.
The Cobra SAVE Method further protects firefighters by reducing exposure to high temperatures, toxic smoke, and other hazards, supporting their long-term health and safety.
