Lena Håkansson, who is a Fire Protection Engineer, is a welcome reinforcement to our team and will provide valuable knowledge when we develop methods for Safer, Cleaner, and More Efficient firefighting.
My name is Lena, born and raised in Mantorp – a small village in the middle between the city of Gothenburg and the capital Stockholm. When I was 16 years old, I moved to Gothenburg and entered high school with a handball profile. In addition to my studies, I mostly spent my time on the handball court.
After high school, I moved to Åre and studied Business and Product Development via Mid Sweden University. By the time I finished my studies, I had fallen in love with the village of Åre and stayed a few years. In parallel with working at ICA, I was a part-time firefighter at Åre Rescue Service. There, I was fascinated by the fact that the consequences of fires and accidents can be affected and eliminated by a well-performed preventive work. This eventually paved the way for my fire engineering studies in Luleå.
After graduating as a Fire Protection Engineer, I began my career as a fire consultant in the construction industry.
At Cold Cut Systems AB, I look forward to working with the product Cold Cut Cobra and especially to the opportunity to contribute to developing the method towards a safer and more controlled firefighting effort for the rescue service.
