Södra Älvsborg Fire & Rescue Service (SERF) in collaboration with the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden has conducted scientific studies based on reported and documented experiences from almost ten years’ practical implementation of the Cutting Extinguishing Concept (CEC) and methodology in firefighting operations. SERF was commissioned by the Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRSA), since 1 January 2009 the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), to carry out these studies.
